Cindy S. Vova, Esq.

Cindy S. Vova, a South Florida native, founded The Law Offices of Cindy S. Vova, P.A. in 1993 with the two-fold objective of providing superior representation to her clients and delivering the personal attention that each client deserves within a warm and caring environment.

Ms. Vova was admitted to both the Florida and Georgia Bars in 1984.

She has lectured on various family law issues in the community including the South Broward Financial Planners and the Paralegal Assoication of Florida, and has guest lectured at Nova Southeastern University School of Law and at the Florida County Court Judges Conference.

As a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator for over 14 years, Ms. Vova has mediated over 200 family law cases. She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Court mediator. Often appointed as a guardian ad litem by Family, Civil and Probate Judges, Ms. Vova rigorously represents the rights of children in the court system.

She is an active member of the Family Law Section of the FLorida bar, and has served on various subcommittees including:

• Child support guidelines
• Mediation
• General Magistrate
• Equitable Distribution

A Fellow of the Florida Bar Foundation, she previously served on various committees of the Florida Bar including Grievance Committee 17-B, Evidence Code Committee, Small Claimas Rules Committee, and holds memberships in the following organizations:

• American Bar Association
• Broward County Bar Association
• Collaborative Lawyers of South Florida

Her community interest are also rooted in advancing children's interest, including:

• Host Committee for Florida Children’s First Annual Fundraiser since 2007, which advances the guardian ad litem program and promoting legislation for Florida’s children in foster care
• Godparent and Volunteer at JAFCO, one of the premiere children's shelter and foster care facility in South Florida

Ms. Vova holds the following degrees:

• Doctor of Law, Emory University, 1984

Ms. Vova has been married over 20 years, and is the proud mother of two teenage daughters, two cats and a Maltese.
 

Penny Taylor-Miller, Esq.

Penny Taylor-Miller grew up in Broward County, and brings over 15 years in the legal field to the firm. She worked at the firm as a paralegal for nearly a decade, before returning to law school at the University of Florida. After receiving her law degree and graduating third in her class, Ms. Taylor-Miller practiced family law in Gainesville before returning to South Florida.

A highly organized, driven and focused lawyer, Ms Taylor-Miller is devoted to the client and the case. Her abilities to thoroughly evaluate all circumstances and develop creative, efficient solutions define her as a client advocate.

Dedicated to children and children’s rights, Ms. Taylor-Miller served as a guardian for the Alachua County Guardian ad Litem program from 2009-2010. As a former foster parent with her husband, Kevin, Ms. Taylor-Miller fostered a 9 year-old, virtually failing in school and turned him into a straight A student before he was reunited with his biological mother.

She also served as fundraising chair of the American Red Cross Drowning Prevention Program, and, for the past two years lead her daughter’s Girl Scout Troup.

Ms. Taylor-Miller holds the following degrees:

A devoted wife and mother, Ms. Taylor-Miller is an animal lover at heart, and recently mothered not only her human family, but four horses, two pigs and two dogs.
